Bicycle Safety Unit

Parents,

We are extremely excited for the opportunity to teach our students at EIS a Bike Safety Unit!  This curriculum is part of our NC Healthful Living Teaching Standards.  Please read the release form below, sign and return this form to your child’s homeroom teacher on or before Thursday, May 2nd. This is a special opportunity for your child to learn and practice lifelong skills that will increase their physical activity.  We would LOVE to have some parent volunteers to help with our Bike Unit/Field Day!  If you are interested, please make sure you fill out the Parent Volunteer Tracker attached below.  This needs to be completed as soon as possible.  Also, if your student would like to bring their own bike/helmet, bikes can be dropped off in the teacher parking lot by the black top April 29th-May 1st from 7:15-8:00 a.m. Please make sure to put your child’s names on these items.  Bikes must be picked up on Friday, May 24th from 2:45-3:15 or May 28th- May 29th from 7:15-8:00 a.m.  Please email one of the PE teachers with any questions.  As always, thank you for your support of our PE program here at EIS!

Sincerely,

Ms. Ramsey and Ms. Sorrells
