Welcome to Survivor Island: 5th Grade Science Edition! Mrs. Hensley and Mr. Burbank have transformed their 5th grade science classrooms into an exciting Survivor-style adventure for EOG review! Instead of stressful test prep, students are diving into hands-on challenges, teamwork, strategy, and fun while reviewing important science concepts.
Each day, students:
Search for hidden immunity idols
Complete science challenges tied to EOG standards
Participate in “tribal council” reflection time
Earn points toward becoming the next Science
Survivor Champions
Some of the challenges include:
Escaping a maze while measuring distance over time
Creating an “ice cube shield” to review conductors and insulators
Taking on a final gauntlet obstacle course packed with EOG review questions
EOG review doesn’t have to feel stressful or overwhelming. Learning can be exciting, engaging, and rewarding! Our students are building confidence, working together, and getting excited to show off everything they’ve learned this year. We are so proud of their hard work and enthusiasm!
