Jet families- Just a reminder that EIS will be conducting BOY (Beginning of Year) Reading and Math testing this week. Tuesday (9/9)- 5th and 6th Grade Reading AND Thursday (9/11)- 5th and 6th Grade Math. Please be sure that your child has a good night's sleep, comes to school on time, and has a healthy breakfast. EIS provides FREE breakfast and lunch to all students EVERY DAY!

We would like to welcome Jane Rohrer to our Jet family! Jane was born and raised in the Philadelphia area, and lived in Asheville for three year prior to moving back to Philadelphia. Now she is returning to Asheville from Pennsylvania! After earning her Bachelor's degree in English from Franklin and Marshall College, Jane went on to earn two Masters' Degrees in Creative Writing and Composition and Rhetoric from UNC Wilmington and the University of Pittsburgh, respectively. Jane has been an educator and mentor for the last 10 years, and has a particularly strong background in ELA/Social Studies education. Jane has taught at the elementary, middle school, and collegiate level, and most recently was a Lecturer at Appalachian State University. Jane is so excited to be joining you all at Enka Intermediate School!
