Lindgren, Nichole- Math/Science 6th

Hello My Name Is...

Nichole Lindgren

My name is Nichole Lindgren and I moved to Asheville from Virginia. In Virginia, I got my undergraduate degree from James Madison University where I studied early childhood and elementary education. After college I started teaching at Fairfax County Public Schools, where I worked for more than 12 years. During this time I simultaneously taught at the elementary level and got my masters degree in K-8 Mathematics Education Leadership from George Mason University. After receiving this degree I worked as a mathematics resource teacher in schools and then at the district level, supporting teachers with mathematics instruction and teaching childs mathematics content from kindergarten through seventh grade.

I believe that all students should experience and learn mathematics and science that appropriately challenges them, encourages deep thinking, and develops the skills and knowledge necessary to be successful in our changing world.
