Booze, Sarah- Visual Art

 Virtual Bitmoji Classroom

Hello! This is my fourth year teaching at Enka Intermediate School & I am excited to welcome your child into the EIS art room!

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Studio Art from Salem College in Winston-Salem, NC where my focus was oil painting. After Salem, I spent a year in Florence, Italy studying painting, design, and printmaking intensively at Studio Art College International. In 2017, I completed my Master's degree at Western Carolina University.

Before teaching, I spent many years working as a graphic designer. Through my experience as a designer, I came to realize that the habits and skills acquired in the art studio are incredibly valuable outside of the classroom. Art class fosters creativity, encourages innovation, and provides students with the critical thinking and problem-solving skills needed to become lifelong learners and thrive in our fast-paced culture.

Art class is on a wheel rotation. Your child will attend art every day of the week for 9 weeks. Students use a variety of materials and techniques including drawing, painting, printmaking, fibers, design, sculpture and also study historical and contemporary artists.

At EIS, students of all abilities and backgrounds will find success in Visual Arts!
