Mr. Travis Collins

Mr. Collins grew up and is proud to have served the entirety of his administrative career in the mountains of W.N.C. Prior to becoming a school administrator Mr. Collins taught elementary school for six years and then went on to complete his Master’s degree in School Administration as a N.C. Principal Fellow at Western Carolina University. Following the completion of his M.S.A. he has served in a variety of school leadership positions as an assistant principal, an elementary school principal, a middle school principal, and as a high school principal. 

He is an avid fly fisherman, enjoys riding all kinds of bicycles, but most importantly loves spending time with his wife Melissa (also a public school educator), and their two children Jack and Ruthie. Mr. Collins feels very blessed to serve the Enka-Candler/Hominy Valley community and looks forward to building positive relationships with his students and their families.
